New York, NY (8/9/2005) -- On Thursday, August 11th, the country's top drum and bugle corps will march onto the big screen in a special, live One Night Big Screen ConcertsSM event ? Drum Corps International (DCI) World Championship Quarterfinals ? at 69 movie theatres nationwide.

This exclusive live in-theatre event, presented by National CineMedia, will premiere in select Regal Cinemas, United Artists, Edwards and Georgia Theatre Company movie theatres nationwide on August 11th at 5:00 p.m. ET / 4:00 p.m. CT / 3:00 p.m. MT / 2:00 p.m. PT. Since its founding in 1972, Drum Corps International (DCI) has delivered more than 30 World Championship competitions from 16 cities to millions fans across the U.S. The 2005 Championship Quarterfinals, presented live via satellite from Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts, is an opportunity for drum corps fans to experience the thunder of the drums and the thrill of the competition on the big screen. The live in-theatre event will feature the top 17 Division I drum corps performing in their entirety, with highlight clips of the first seven corps that performed earlier in the day preceding the live program. The DCI World Championship Quarterfinals will be presented in High Definition quality and 5.1 audio.
